Bob Ehlers Promoted to VP Marketing

RGB Spectrum is pleased to announce that Bob Ehlers has been promoted to VP of Marketing.

In this role, Bob will be responsible for both product management and marketing, with a customer-centric focus on developing strategic product roadmaps. He will also oversee and direct RGB Spectrum’s award-winning training program, which provides valuable, industry-leading instruction to our partners and customers. In addition, he will manage and define RGB Spectrum’s brand within our target vertical markets. Previously, as VP of Business Development, Bob was responsible for strengthening RGB Spectrum’s presence in the Security and Energy markets.

Prior to joining RGB Spectrum, Bob was founder and CEO of HauteSpot Networks Corporation, a leading developer of wireless solutions for IP video surveillance. Bob was instrumental in the development of innovative wireless routing products and patented several protocols for mesh and mobile networking devices. Bob remains on HauteSpot’s board of directors. 

Before founding HauteSpot, Bob held various positions in Marketing and Product Line Management with Performance Technologies, Intel and Ziatech, servicing the embedded telecommunications and wireless sector. Bob also has a long history of success in Information Technology and General Management roles having served as VP of Information Technology with Inktomi Corporation; Director of Information Technology with PeopleSoft, Intrepid Systems, and American President Lines; General Manager and Managing Director in Sri Lanka for APL Lanka Agencies; and in various logistics and management roles during his 16 years with American President Lines.

Bob served as a Petty Officer in the US Coast Guard Reserve for nine years, He holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo in Business and Industrial Engineering. He lives in San Luis Obispo with his wife Charlotte and his family, and is active in various community organizations including the VFW and Boy Scouts.
