International Defense Exhibitions to Showcase RGB Spectrum’s Latest Innovations

Defense and aerospace industries across the world are incorporating secure networked and baseband video along with streamlined control systems enabling them to stay better informed and react quicker. The WEST and IDEX conferences provide the best way to keep up with innovations in defense technology. RGB Spectrum will be displaying its latest advances in video processing and networked AV solutions.

The international defense exhibition and conference (IDEX), held biennially in Abu Dhabi, showcases the latest technology across land, sea and air, focusing on the Middle East and North Africa regions. Over 1000 exhibitors, utilizing 1.4 million square feet of event space, 12 indoor exhibit halls and outdoor stands provide attendees with up close and personal demonstrations. Daily choreographed displays will take place on the water and on the purpose-built demonstration track.

WEST is the premier Sea Services event focused on operations in the Asia-Pacific region. The conference is a showcase of emerging systems, platforms, technologies and networks. Co-sponsored by AFCEA International and the U.S. Naval Institute, the WEST conference takes place February 13-15, 2019 at the San Diego Convention Center.

At both shows, RGB Spectrum will be showcasing the versatile Galileo video wall processor and Zio Networked AV, a complete AV/IP solution. Supporting multiple walls and individual displays, Galileo video wall processors offer unmatched flexibility of input and output possibilities. A new feature of the Galileo system allows the user to select any content to be encoded as an IP stream for transmission across a network. This unique capability permits operators to push any content anywhere in the world right from the display wall processor – no external encoder is required. The user can selectively stream the entire video wall, creating a wall mimic, or any portion of the video wall.

The Zio product line defines what it means to provide a comprehensive networked video solution, including encoders, decoders, multiviewers, wall processors, operator stations and apps for smart displays and mobile devices.

A new Zio app for mobile devices connects a remote workforce. The system automatically discovers remote users, allowing them to select and view available Zio streams. In addition, system operators can "push" content out to remote users who then receive a standard mobile OS notification alerting them to new content availability.

Zio system functionality includes the ability to display web content alongside video streams and to bridge LANs and WANs. The breadth of Zio offerings plus integration with third-party hardware adds up to a complete AV/IP video solution from a single vendor.
