New Capabilities and Enhancements for DSx IP Video and Graphics H.264 Codecs
The DSx IP video and graphics H.264 codecs for digital streaming are now available with new enhancements and optional capabilities, captioning to offer the best price-performance in the industry.
New features and capabilities now available include:
- Reduced Latency (codec-end-to-end)
- HD/Graphics: 90ms (+/- 30ms)
- SD: 120ms (+/- 30ms) - New Command Level Control:
- RS-485 Serial Operation via XML-RPC protocol
- RS-232 Serial Operation via REST protocol - Secure Sockets Layer(SSL)/Transport Layer Security (TLS)
SSL/TLS security is used to protect communication with the DSx WCP application. All system functions
controlled by WCP, such as changing device settings and administration are protected. - Multicasting Capability
The DSx optionally performs multicast broadcasting of streams allowing simultaneous access by many client
computers. DSx multicasts are an efficient way to deliver the same material to a group of people over a LAN
with the advantage of reducing the bandwidth required for multiple clients viewing the same video stream. - Control Panel Enhancements
DSx codecs are now easier to use than ever before with simpler navigation, more intuitive controls,
reorganized pages for uncomplicated operation and effortless flow.
