RGB Spectrum Introduces IP Video Streaming For MediaWall Processors

Combining superb image quality, simple integration, and a rich IP feature set, the new RGB Spectrum multi-stream codec processor, the DSx™ 264MW, is the ideal peripheral to deliver IP graphics and video to a video wall display processor.

Designed for displaying streaming inputs on MediaWall® display processors, the DSx 264MW system is ideal where lower latency is required than can be provided by software codecs. The system provides advanced decoding of multiple graphics, HD, and SD video streams, and supports main, baseline, and high profile compression.

Each DSx 264MW unit can decode two graphics or HD video streams, or up to 8 SD video streams simultaneously. They support graphics at resolutions up to 1920x1200 and video up to 1920x1080. SD streams are displayed in quad windows, up to 8 source images per unit. Where required, multiple DSx 264MW units can be added to accommodate additional streams.

This system supports unicast (UDP, TCP) and multicast transmission (UDP). It can connect to RTSP streams (IETF RFC 2326) containing H.264 or MJPEG video. It also supports associated streams of AAC-LC compressed audio. Sources can include all DSx™ codec models as well as a number of third party cameras.

The DSx 264MW is packaged in a compact 1RU rack mount tray that contains two decoder units, each with its own Ethernet port and DVI connection to the MediaWall display processor. External power modules and Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) are offered for ease of integration.
