Atlanta Sports Restaurant Dazzles Sports Fans With Award Winning Entertainment Systems

The STATS Sports restaurant in Atlanta, Georgia is a hit, winning PRO AV Magazine's "Best Hospitality/Restaurant AV Project" Award. The recently opened STATS Sport restaurant is a quintessential example of the application of sophisticated audio visual technology to create an exciting customer experience.

The STATS restaurant offers a stylish, chic ambiance with a sleek look unique amongst sports bars. Its dramatic style is attributed to the vision of its management and the audio-visual technology expertise of global systems integrator AVI-SPL, based in Tampa, Florida. STATS takes a novel approach to customer entertainment. It combines a number of large screens interspersed throughout the restaurant's common areas with personalized, individual sports viewing.

AVI-SPL project engineers were charged with designing an extensive array of display solutions for the restaurant's dining area and five sports bars. One of the key challenges was to devise a display system for the large screen venues that could display multiple sources on individual screens. AVI-SPL engineers chose RGB Spectrum's QuadView® multi-image display processors.

The QuadView multiviewer supports up to 24 sources, four of which can be displayed simultaneously. The QuadView processor receives live inputs from high definition satellite receivers, Blue Ray and HD DVD players, and video cameras placed throughout the venue, including the restaurant's own radio broadcast booth. They feed two Projection Design F30 vertically stacked projectors which project onto an 8-by-12-foot Da-Lite 74640C wraparound screen above the restaurant's main bar.

The QuadView multiviewers are controlled from a central station using a touch panel controller. Operators can select input sources and pre-set display configurations with one-touch selection.

AVI-SPL's project engineer, Bill Smedley, commented, "This amazing application of cutting edge audio-visual technology puts the Stats restaurant in a league by itself. The visual impact is stunning. The customer response from this dynamic, engaging multi-image technology has been overwhelmingly positive."
