Product launches, feature releases, firmware updates, and enhancements across RGB Spectrum processors, controllers, multiviewers, and AV-over-IP systems — everything new, in one place.

The RGB Spectrum DSx 264MW is a multi-stream codec processor for video wall displays. It decodes up to 2 HD streams or 8 SD streams per unit with low latency. Supports resolutions up to 1920x1200, H.264/MJPEG video, and AAC audio via unicast/multicast transmission. Housed in 1RU rack with dual de...
RGB Spectrum's DGy codecs enable editing of JPEG2000 MJ2 files using ZyGoMJ2K and QuickTime PRO. The software converts DGy recordings to MOV format for editing, sequencing, and concatenation while preserving quality. ZMerge simplifies batch processing of multiple recordings.
RGB Spectrum launches DSx 100 and 200 servers for centralized H.264 video recording, storage and distribution up to 1080p resolution. These scalable systems handle up to 20 simultaneous input/output streams with 14TB storage. Client PCs can view up to 4 streams individually or grouped.
The VIA-100 is an SD Video-to-HDMI converter that upscales composite and S-Video sources to HDMI at various resolutions. It embeds analog/digital audio, auto-detects monitor resolution, supports frame rate conversion, and includes OSD controls for picture adjustments.
RGB Spectrum's Linx Prime switchers feature built-in scaling with HDCP compliance, supporting various analog/digital inputs converted to DVI/HDMI outputs. They resolve EDID issues, enable legacy sources on high-res displays, and provide seamless switching. Available in 8x8, 16x16, 32x32 sizes.
RGB Spectrum launches a commissioning assistance program for control room dealers/integrators worldwide. The service provides on-site support for installations using RGB Spectrum's MediaWall processors, Linx switchers, and MultiPoint KvM software.
RGB Spectrum announced new Linx F Series fiber switchers that incorporate HDCP-compliant FiberDVI extenders. The modular switchers drive signals up to 500 meters over single fiber with advanced EDID management. Features include miniature DVI headshell-sized modules, bi-directional DDC support, HD...
RGB Spectrum's Linx Prime switchers now include HD/3G-SDI dual-channel cards that convert high-end video inputs for display on cheaper HDMI/DVI devices. Features include cable runs up to 200m, SMPTE compliance, support for various resolutions up to 1920x1080p, and web/command line control.
RGB Spectrum's DSx codecs use H.264 encoding for superior image quality with reduced bandwidth. Version 3.2.2 firmware adds reduced latency (90ms HD, 120ms SD), extended data rates (512Kbps-10Mbps HD, 64Kbps-4Mbps SD), and SSL/TLS security. DSx 200 now supports RGB analog signals.
RGB Spectrum expanded capabilities of its MediaWall 4500, 4200 and SuperView 5000 video walls with a new HD/3G-SDI Input Module for broadcast and medical sources. The dual interface module supports up to 3.0Gb/s, cable lengths up to 200m, and multiple resolutions including 1080P/i and 720P formats.
DSx IP video and graphics H.264 codecs now feature reduced latency (HD: 90ms, SD: 120ms), new command controls via RS-485/RS-232 protocols, SSL/TLS security, multicasting capability for efficient bandwidth use, and enhanced control panels with simpler navigation and intuitive operation.
RGB Spectrum announced the External Desktop Agent (EDA) at InfoComm 2010. The EDA is a plug-and-play KVM emulator for their MultiPoint KvM solution that converts Ethernet control signals to USB/PS/2 for keyboards and mice. It targets secure control rooms in government/military.
