This product can be custom-built for any MIL SPEC connectivity, environmental and shock/vibration requirements, including MIL STD 901, 810, 461, 167 and DO160D.

The DSx 300 graphics and video recording codec is ideal for a range of military applications: training, simulation, command and control, C4ISR, missile testing, and UAV/UAS systems. The DSx 300 is packaged in a fanless, rugged enclosure for durability in challenging environments.

The DSx 300’s H.264 high profile compression delivers superior image quality. This H.264 video codec recorder supports the highest resolution in the industry at up to 1920x1200 and 1600x1200 resolution.

The DSx codec records to local USB storage devices and external network storage devices such as RAIDs or servers. Moreover, video and graphics streaming and recording can be done concurrently – a DSx exclusive.

The DSx codec also provides a failsafe graphics and video recording feature which protects the integrity of recordings-in process in case of a system accident, power loss or failure, another DSx exclusive.

IP streams can be decoded with commercial off-the-shelf PC software or, where very low latency is required, with DSx codecs.  The DSx 300 codec functions as both an encoder and decoder. There is no need for separate codecs.

Other leading-edge features include on-screen display (OSD), external time code synchronization, event marking, variable speed playback, random access, and confidence monitoring. You can also concurrently control multiple DSx codecs with an optional GUI application.

To assist integration, the DSx 300 codec offers the choice of an external power module or Power-over-Ethernet (PoE). Remote operation is simple using an embedded, web-based graphical user interface. A single 1RU tray is available for rack mounting. As a special order option, the DSx 300M is available without USB ports for extra security.

The combination of superb image quality, rich feature set, compact size, robust packaging, and 24/7 reliability makes the DSx 300 codec the ideal solution for mission-critical applications.
