Linx™ 3200S DVI Matrix Switcher with Total with HDCP

The Linx™ family of DVI routing switchers expands with a new model offered in flexible configurations up to 32 x 32. The Linx 3200S DVI matrix switcher is a high performance, non-blocking digital media switcher designed to simplify system integration. Each digital matrix switcher unit delivers pure digital media switching and routing of DVI signals with full pixel reclocking. When combined with digital signal sources, digital displays and cabling, this digital media switcher allows fully digital end-to-end signal distribution.

Each digital input accepts digital signals up to 1920 x 1200 and 2048 x 1152. A modular architecture simplifies I/O card replacement should it ever be needed.

In addition to switching video, the Linx 3200S DVI matrix switcher supports pass-through EDID. This digital media switcher also provides programmable or manual override of EDID with Total EDID Manager™. The Total EDID Manager is a highly advanced EDID system that offers the user a choice between fixed, pass-through or emulated EDID. HDCP is also supported, allowing these digital media switchers to handle digital content-protected HDMI signals. Any HDCP encoded signal can be routed to up to 16 outputs simultaneously.

Maintaining digital signal integrity is crucial in a digital media switcher. The Linx family of digital matrix switchers are unique among digital media switchers in providing optimal signal fidelity. Jitter and signal distortion errors are corrected with precision pixel reclocking, resulting in pristine digital images.

Advanced features simplify system integration. Each input provides built-in cable equalization to increase cable lengths to 50 meters without the need for external extenders. Output connectors can supply up to 16 amps of 5Volt power for pin-powered devices such as cables or extenders, obviating the need for external power supplies. Front panel controls provide quick access to call up presets or create a routing assignment.

Remote control is via Ethernet and RS-232 serial ports. An internal server for switcher control is accessible from any web browser; no special software is required on the user's PC. And lastly, Total EDID Manager eliminates the need for external EDID emulators.

The Linx 3200S digital media switcher is available in 32 x 32, 16 x 16, 16 x 32 and 32 x 16 configurations. Smaller configurations offer future field upgradability up to 32 x 32.
