RGB Spectrum Unleashes the Watchdog® 200 With KvM™ Control
![]() |
February 25, 2009, Alameda, CA - RGB Spectrum announces the release of the Watchdog® 200 multi-viewer with KvM™ control, offering outstanding image quality, plus web based control, dynamic window sizing, borders and titling, smooth zoom/pans and more coupled with control of the DVRs, computers, and cameras displayed.
The Watchdog 200 accepts high resolution DVI, RGB, HD, and NTSC/PAL video from DVRs, cameras, access control and other systems. Up to twenty-four sources can be connected, four of which can be displayed simultaneously. It offers the highest quality graphics and video rendition, with state-of-the-art deinterlacing and scaling.
Each input can be scaled and positioned anywhere on the screen, as well as panned and zoomed to emphasize areas of interest. Display alternatives are virtually infinite, and include quad split, side-by-side, picture-in-picture, and overlapping windows. Up to sixteen video inputs can be sequenced through any window with user selected timing.
User-selectable output resolutions of up to 1920 x 1200p and up to 2048 x 1152p ensure a perfect match with any display. With DVI inputs and outputs, a completely digital signal path can be maintained from signal source to display.
KVM capability provides control of any displayed computer, DVR or network controllable device. Best yet, KvM™ is RGB Spectrum's patent pending implementation of traditional KVM, with full bandwidth video directly connected to the processor; only control signals are passed over the network. This implementation guarantees real time video performance, unavailable in other systems. The system is operated using a single mouse with an on-screen cursor, and optional keyboard for data entry. The novel hybrid approach coupled with an equally novel user interface offers seamless, real-time control with unparalleled responsiveness.
All functions are easily set up and controlled using a command line interface from either the USB or Ethernet ports, or graphically via a standard web-browser. The model 100 is available for users who require multi-window capability without KvM control.
Built on RGB Spectrum's long tradition of quality and reliability, the Watchdog is an excellent solution for all multimedia display, including the most demanding mission critical applications.
