RGB Spectrum Adds HD/3G-SDI Input Module to Popular Linx CrossXFormat Switcher

July 26, 2010, Alameda, CA - RGB Spectrum, the world leader in videographic processing technology for control rooms, conference rooms, operating rooms and defense, today announced that it has expanded the capabilities of its industry leading Linx CrossXFormat switcher through the release of an HD/3G-SDI Input Card. The new two-channel modular input cards for the new Linx™ Prime switcher frames, also announced today, take video from sources such as cameras and video production devices utilizing this popular format and convert it for display and distribution to less costly DVI and HDMI displays. SMPTE 292M compliant HD-SDI signals with resolutions up to 1080i and 720p are supported as are 3G-SDI signals to 1080p compliant with SMPTE 424M.
The HD/3G-SDI input card loads into the new Linx Prime frames which are available in three sizes, supporting configurations up to 8x8, 16x16 and 32x32. As one of four input card types offered, along with DVI/HDMI, analog RGB and optical fiber, users have ultimate flexibility in selecting the configuration that perfectly suits their needs.
