A Breakthrough - One Switcher For DVI & RGB Sources
![]() |
February 25, 2009, Alameda, CA - RGB Spectrum's Linx™ family of routing switchers expands with the breakthrough new Linx 3300 Cross Format™ switcher. Offering a switching solution for environments with both DVI and analog RGB sources, the model 3300 supports both signals on every input channel.
Unlike some solutions that offer two separate switchers housed in a single enclosure, the Linx 3300 is a truly integrated solution. Analog RGB is internally converted, processed through the switcher and output as DVI. Perfect for the facility that is transitioning from analog to DVI, or requires continuing use of specialized equipment with analog RGB output, the Linx 3300 accommodates any mix of the two formats.
The Linx 3300 Cross Format switcher also supports HDCP, allowing it to accommodate content-protected signals. An HDCP encoded signal can be routed to up to 16 outputs simultaneously. EDID management and control are simplified with RGB Spectrum's Total EDID Manager ™, which provides the user with the most complete set of EDID management tools available.
Configurations include 8, 16, 24 or 32 inputs and 8,16, 24 or 32 outputs. Smaller configurations are field upgradeable. Signals with pixel clock rates up to 165MHz are supported, including 1920x1200, 1920x1080p, and 2048x1080p.
The Linx 3300 is designed to simplify system Integration. All functions are easily set up and controlled using a command line interface or graphically via a standard web browser. Front panel controls provide quick access to call up presets or create a routing assignment. Built-in cable equalization extends cable lengths without the need for external signal extenders. Output connectors can supply up to 16 amps of total power for pin-powered devices such as cables or extenders, obviating the need for external power supplies. A modular architecture simplifies I/O card replacement should it ever be needed and the Linx 3300 is equipped with user-serviceable dual redundant power supplies.
Built on RGB Spectrum's long tradition of quality and reliability, the Linx 3300 Cross Format switcher is the optimal solution for mixed signal environments. Designed for 24/7 operation, it provides an unmatched combination of performance, features, robust construction and ease of use ideally suited for mission critical applications.
