Emergency Operations Center at Fort Bliss Enhanced by RGB Spectrum's View™ Technology
September 6, 2005 Alameda, CA - William Beaumont Army Medical Center is a Department of Defense medical facility located in El Paso Texas. It provides comprehensive care to active duty military, their family members, and retirees.
The emergency operations center (EOC) required an upgrade to provide sufficient multi-media capabilities to display critical information in times of crisis, which might include anything from natural disasters to an attack on the United States. The center was searching for the best solution to display critical information in an emergency scenario.

DuMotion Audio Visual & Video, Inc. of El Paso, TX., the project's integrator, chose a system comprising three flat screen monitors and RGB Spectrum's SuperView™ 3000 processor, which can display multiple sources of information in windows.
The room has been set up with 20 laptop computers, 2 VCRs used as tuners for cable news channels, and a closed circuit TV signal that can be viewed at the same time. These signals are sent to an Altinex matrix switcher, and then on to the flat panel displays directly or via the SuperView processor, which displays several of the signals on one of the screens. An AMX touch panel controller is used for control.
According to Harold duQuesnay of DuMotion, "The SuperView is performing well. The personnel at William Beaumont Army Medical Center are pleased with its performance."
The SuperView multi-input display processor accepts up to twelve real-time inputs and displays the combined output on a single high-resolution monitor or projector. The window inputs can be NTSC or PAL, composite or S-video, and high-resolution analog RGB with up to 1600 x 1200 pixel resolution. Each window can be independently positioned, scaled to full screen, overlaid with computer graphics or overlapped with other windows. Additionally, the user can pan and zoom within each video image.
